Youth Orchestra United (YOU) is Henry For Music’s signature tuition-free ensemble program serving youth across and around Henry County, Georgia. Students receive access to a developmental pathway of structured weekly instruction, instrument access and stewardship, and community performance opportunities designed to cultivate musicianship, discipline, and artistic identity.

Program Components

Youth Orchestra United functions as a structured youth development model that combines weekly instruction, instrument stewardship, leadership cultivation, and seasonal performance benchmarks. The program is designed to teach music, build discipline, accountability, and collaborative excellence.


Instruction

Weekly ensemble-based rehearsal with guided technique development and music literacy.

Youth Orchestra United operates as a structured, tuition-free ensemble program that combines up to 8 hours of weekly instruction, instrument stewardship, leadership development, and community performance experiences.

Youth Orchestra United removes financial barriers to music education. Through tuition-free instruction and performance opportunities, students build:

Youth Orchestra United (YOU) functions as both a community ensemble and a structured program model within Henry For Music’s long-term strategic vision. Henry For Music intentionally expands YOU’s capacity, mentorship pathways, performance scope, and replicable programming to strengthen arts access across Henry County. The program equips students with musicianship, discipline, leadership skills, and collaborative experience that prepare them for advanced study and sustained artistic engagement.

When families and community members attend performances, they directly sustain tuition-free access to instruments, instruction, and performance opportunities for future students.

I have an Instrument to gift. How do I get it to you?

DONATE YOUR INSTRUMENT

On the go? Drop off your instrument at one of our music store partner drop-off locations listed below.

When you donate your old or gently used instrument to Henry For Music, we refurbish it at no cost to you or the student recipient.

Through this special service project, you can also help by collecting from your friends and neighbors.

Alternatively, you can purchase a brand new instrument at either of our two drop-off locations. Let our music store partners know that your purchase is being made as a "donation for Henry For Music" and we'll be able to pick up your in-kind donation.

Henry For Music is a participating nonprofit in Walmart’s Spark Good Round Up program.

Customers can round up their purchase at checkout to support tuition-free music education.
