Henry For Music's Youth Orchestra United Programs will soon resume, also.
We are excited to share that we are introducing a new class for our
Youth Orchestra United, plus, After School Enrichment Program sessions at select school(s).
HFM YOU Class One: Season Two begins in August 2019 and continues through May 2020.

Our mission is to gift students with music. You can help by donating your old or gently used instrument to Henry For Music.
Through this service project, we accept old or gently used instruments.
Schedule a pick-up: Call Jerry at 770-342-9045.
On the go? Drop off your instrument at one of our two drop-off locations:
McDonough Music Store, 184 John Frank Ward Blvd, McDonough, 678-432-0982 or TLS Music, 3283 Highway 42, Stockbridge, GA 30281, 770-880-2475.
Their hours are typically 11am to 6:30pm, M-F.
Please leave your contact information in the case for use to send you a receipt. Once received, we will refurbish your donated instrument at no cost to you or the student.

Henry For Music has (2) decorated pumpkins on display created by Lead Artist Adryan Joy Franklin (@ArtByAdryanJoy) with help from Henry For Music Youth Orchestra United students, staff and teachers.
Promoting children's literacy annually since 2003, the Henry Arts Alliance, in conjunction with McDonough Library and Piedmont Henry Hospital, once again invited community members to decorate pumpkins representing children's books.
These pumpkins began their "parade" at Piedmont Henry Hospital and will end at the McDonough Public Library for the Fall Festival of Storytelling which is being held on Friday, October 18th.
The pumpkins arrived at Piedmont Henry in the North Lobby on Monday, Sept. 23 and will be on display at the hospital until October 4. You are invited to stop by the hospital to see the decorated pumpkins.

Henry for Music Launches "Joy Through Music" Program
Henry for Music has joined forces with the Henry County School System to offer a unique opportunity to Stockbridge Elementary School After-School Enrichment Program (ASEP) students.
In mid-September, Henry For Music launched its newest initiative called "Joy Through Music", offering two new ASEP classes: Choral Class will give kids an opportunity to learn their voice as an instrument; while Recorder Class will give advanced kids an opportunity to learn and practice responsibility on a new instrument.
Already learning from resident school teacher Agustin "Mr. R" Rosado, who was a guest at Youth Orchestra United's 2019 Spring Concert, students are excited to start a new journey into enhancing their music skills with Henry For Music Teaching Artists as a step toward playing the instrument(s) of their dreams.

Henry For Music is pleased to announce that it has partnered with the Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra to present a wonderful treat for the students of Henry For Music's Youth Orchestra United:
Zoe Willingham, Violinist
will join us as our special guest during Rehearsal on November 6th.
Zoe is senior at the Martha Ellen Stilwell School of the Arts in Clayton County, where she is also recognized as the “most outstanding” 9th, 10th and 11th grader in her school orchestra and currently holds the concertmaster position.
She has performed with the Clayton County Honors Orchestra, Franklin Pond Chamber Music, Stilwell School of Arts Chamber Orchestra, Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Through partnering with local musicians like Zoe and other non-profit organizations, our Mentorship Outreach Program provides students with opportunities focused on both access to instrument instruction and music education.
Look for Zoe to join us at future events as a Featured Artist.

Pumpkin 1: The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt earned the Display Honors at OrthoAtlanta Stockbridge's Physical Therapy Department until October 24th.
Each year, since 2003, the Henry Arts Alliance partners with McDonough Public Library and Piedmont Henry Hospital promoting children's literacy with community members' decorated pumpkins representing children's books. Henry For Music is continuing its own home stretch of the "Parade of Pumpkins" so be on the look out:

When you donate your old or gently used instrument to Henry For Music, we refurbish it at no cost to you or the student recipient. Through this special service project you can also help by collecting from your friends and neighbors.
Alternatively, you can purchase a brand new instrument at either of our two drop-off locations. Let them know your purchase is being made as a "donation for Henry For Music" and we'll be able to pick up your in-kind donation.

Henry For Music's Mentorship Outreach Program, through partnering with local musicians and other non-profits, provides students with mentorship focused on both access to music learning and music education.
Our Mentorship Outreach Program also connects students, local organizations and charities with Public Speakers and Facilitators who can engage audiences in need of musical assistance/guidance.
