Keeping in mind the Henry For Music slogan, “Joy Through Music”, our After-School Enrichment Program, in partnership with Henry County Schools, provides a launchpad for students with musical dreams.
Students of Henry County learn and use instruments to apply practical application of Basic Music Theory as instructed by Henry For Music Teach

Henry For Music also works with the school system as an advocate to spark musical programs for students within public schools.

Meanwhile, our Instrument Donation Program affords music-focused growth opportunities at no cost to students whose music education is at risk because of instrument purchase or maintenance costs.

Henry For Music's Mentorship Outreach Program, through partnering with local musicians and other non-profits, provides students with mentorship focused on both access to music learning and music education.
Our Mentorship Outreach Program also connects students, local organizations and charities with Public Speakers and Facilitators who can engage audiences in need of musical assistance/guidance.

How can I help?
When you donate your old or gently used instrument to Henry For Music, we refurbish it at no cost to you or the student recipient. Please leave your contact information in the case for use to send you a tax-deductible receipt. Through this special service project you can also help by collecting from your friends and neighbors.

On the go? Drop off your instrument at one of our two drop-off locations:

Henry For Music has finished out its own home stretch of the "Parade of Pumpkins", promoting both childhood literacy and music!
Created by Lead Artist Adryan Joy Franklin (@ArtByAdryanJoy) with creative assistance from Henry For Music's Youth Orchestra United students, staff and teaching artists, the pumpkins displayed at nearly every library in Henry County.

A total of eight (8) Henry For Music students experienced musical magic at the El Sistema USA Symposium & Seminario including:
(3) cellists, (4) violinists, and (1) flautist.
Henry for Music received a special shout out during the Final Concert event for being the first to contribute an ad featured in the event program. El Sistema USA previously featured Henry For Music’s Youth Orchestra United students Charlie and Lauren Wiggins in successful national campaigns to fund all student attendees students to the El Sistema 2020 Symposium and Seminario.

Henry For Music accepts gently used instruments and our volunteers are the backbone of Henry For Music's success.
Henry For Music, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization gifting tuition-free instruments and music education to students with interest and greatest need.

the henry for music "dear little mother" project
In honor of Mother's Day, Henry For Music offered its students a chance to participate in making music to bring joy into their lives, and also into their mother's lives.
During "these challenging and uncertain times", joy through music comes through accomplishment and overcoming. In support of Henry For Music, Disney Broadway composer David Friedman took some time to orchestrate the different parts to the beautiful song composition "Dear Little Mother".
A special "virtual concert" project was put together featuring some of our students of Youth Orchestra United along with their mentors and Teaching Artists honoring the women in their lives.
Friedman, singer/songwriter of “We Can Be Kind”, was conductor of the music scores for Disney's animated features, including Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and was vocal contractor for Mulan.
Songs written by Friedman have been featured in the Disney films Aladdin and the King of Thieves, The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Bambi 2, in the movie Salsa and in three animated television series; Happy Ness, Sky Dancers, and Dragon Flyz. (Wikipedia)

Dear Henry For Music Students and Parents and Supporters:
We hope you are doing well and staying safe! We thank you for keeping in touch with us and hope you understand that we have chosen to postpone our first-ever benefit and other events.
The dates are to-be-announced, so stay please tuned.
It is important to keep students engaged with a "Joy Through Music" so we hope you've been using the tools we provided and remember to share any new ideas or concerns you'd like us to follow up on.
Prior to the CDC-recommended quarantine, our students were learning various songs for upcoming concerts, and have since picked up new material to learn. We are excited to present their progress to you going forward.
Behind the scenes, we are striving to continue offering musical support throughout this concerning period of Quarantine including video music-creation projects, developing more content for student engagement, video learning and improved usage of the Henry For Music Google Classroom.
